Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F). Butter an 8x8-inch baking dish and set aside.
In a bowl add your chopped apples, granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir to combine and pour into your buttered baking dish.
In another bowl add the rest of the ingredients and using your clean hands (my preferred method) or a pastry cutter, mix all the ingredients until the mixture looks like pea-sized crumbs.
Spread your toppings over the apple mixture in the baking dish and pat it down evenly over the top. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until brown and bubbly.
Serve your apple crisp warm and enjoy! Just a quick note: I like to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top while warm. It's to die for!
